Crude steel production by region

In June 2024, crude steel production in Africa was 1.6 million tons, down 9.6% year-on-year;
Crude steel production in Asia and Oceania was 120.6 million tons, up 0.3% year-on-year;
EU (27 countries) crude steel production was 11.1 million tons, up 5.1% year-on-year;
Crude steel production in other European countries was 3.8 million tons, up 2.1% year-on-year;
Middle East crude steel production of 4.6 million tons, down 2.7% year-on-year;
North American crude steel production of 8.9 million tons, down 1.9% year-on-year;
Crude steel production in Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine was 7.4 million tons, up 1.4% year-on-year;
South American crude steel production was 3.5 million tons, up 4.1% year-on-year.

Japan's crude steel production at 7.0 million tons, down 4.2% year-on-year; U.S. crude steel production at 6.7 million tons, down 1.5% year-on-year;

Russia's crude steel output is estimated at 6.0 million tons, down 4.1% year-on-year; South Korea's crude steel output is 5.1 million tons, down 7.2% year-on-year;

Germany's crude steel output was 3.2 million tons, up 8.9% year-on-year; Turkey's crude steel output was 3.1 million tons, up 4.3% year-on-year;
